Denman Island, BC offers a vibrant arts scene, lively events, a beautiful, natural environment and lots of opportunities for recreation or rest. Denman Works, a local community organization, had a limited budget with funding from Destination BC, and wanted to create a listings based site that gently encouraged visitors to pause and enjoy the island as part of their visit to BC, and to suggest to local residents that they could extend their stay on Denman or Hornby to take in some of the hidden treasures of the island.
We combined business listings and ‘getting here’ information with resources for visitors and locals alike, together with space for storytelling and information about the natural beauty of this underrated gem.
